Swift Response to Voltage Transformer Failure

Overview

Over the weekend REES technicians responded to an urgent callout after a customer experienced a critical failure of their incoming 66 kV Voltage Transformer following severe weather in the area. Upon arrival, we tested spare voltage transformers that were available on-site to verify their condition.

Once weather conditions improved, we conducted tests on the remaining two voltage transformers in the yard to confirm they were still functioning properly. We then replaced the failed transformer with one of the tested spares as a temporary solution until a new replacement set can be sourced and installed.
