Appin Mine Ventilation Shaft Project Completion

Overview

The REES team has safely completed another vertical borehole cable installation at the Appin Mine Ventilation Shaft Project in Menangle, NSW.

We have successfully installed 2 x 11kV 240mm2 XLPE feeds, 2 x fibre optic and 2 x 50pr phone cables and 32 gas monitoring tubes for a new underground area at Appin Mine.

These services were fed 570m from surface to underground supported by engineered support frames on the surface.

REES designed and engineered the installation method to meet the design and safety requirements of the project.

We have been safely carrying out the complex installation of suspended cables for 25years.
